Sony XEL-1

The Sony XEL-1 is the first television that uses a new panel technology called OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), which offers stunning picture quality in stores.

$2,500 for this small screen, which is half the size of some computer displays (11-inch).  This little 11-incher costs more than many of our top-rated big-screen plasma and LCD sets. All things considered, if Sony’s new OLED TV is any example of what this new technology can deliver!

Halle Goes Nuts

Halle Berry just signed on to star in and produce her first post-Nahla (her daughter) movie. The film, Frankie & Alice, is about a woman with multiple personality disorder; one of her personalities is a racist white person. Berry, plays the mentally ill woman.

Frankie & Alice is the second independent production for Toronto-based Access Motion Pictures, which recently completed “Phantom Punch” a Sonny Liston biopic starring Ving Rhames and directed by Robert Townsend.

For May’s issue of Allure magazine actress Gabrielle Union and actress/singer Jill Scott have taken all their clothes off in an article about female body image.

“nobody ever celebrates women whose bodies are bigger than a size 8. But here I am, naked in a magazine at size 16. I hope that I can be an inspiration to all women. We’re all beautiful, each and every one of us.”

“I worked my ass off for this shoot,” says Union. “I’ve always been athletic, but I stepped it up for this. I ran up and down stadium stars and went hiking. I’m cool with being naked, but I wanted to push myself.”

Why Choose?

No decision to make if we can have both!

Keisha Knight Pullium better known as Rudy from the sitcom The Cosby Show is set to play a prostitute in Tyler Perry’s next film. Tyler Perry has had three of his films open in the number one spot at the box office, and Lionsgate Films is hoping to continue Perry’s box crushing as the company has committed to their sixth and seventh Tyler Perry films. Lionsgate has picked up the rights to Perry’s The Family That Prays Together and Madea Goes to Jail.

Perry was quoted as saying,

“An artist couldn’t ask for a better home than Lionsgate; they’re respectful, supportive and loyal to a fault. They’ve given me room to tell the stories I want to tell, the way I want to tell them. And I’m gratified and humbled that audiences have responded with such enthusiasm and love.”
